Developer Experience Operations Manager

If so, we are looking for someone to fill the role of Developer Experience Operations Manager!

The Team

This position lives within lakeFS’ Developer Experience team. We’re a distributed, global team passionate about lakeFS, open-source, community, music, the outdoors, permaculture, DC/Marvel, art, movies, pets, learning languages, and more!

What you'll do

  • Building relationships for our events:
    • External communities: Identify the relevant user group and meetup organizers, and foster a long-term relationship with them. Working collaboratively to spread the word about lakeFS and inviting them to speak at our meetups and events.
  • 1st party events: own the event organization, attract top speakers from external communities, and maximize the event’s reach.

 

  • Building relationships to earn opportunities:
    • Building relationships and maximizing our presence in 3rd party blogs, live streaming, and external community leadership.

Requirements

  • A team and community player.
  • 2 years or more experience with coordination, organization, office management, events management, project management, university student or project management, community management, or related experience.
  • Solid people skills (listening non-judgmentally to people’s questions and frustrations, communicating kindly, setting clear expectations for projects and dates, enjoying work and social time spent with others).
  • Independent and able to reach out to others in the company and community for help and learning instead of problem-solving in isolation.
  • Solid communication skills – Excellent written and verbal communication for email, Slack, documentation, and blog posts channels.
  • Hands-on experience in organizing, managing, and producing meetups, events & conferences – both physical and virtual from all aspects: Location, hospitality, technical enablement & demand-gen.
  • Familiarity with automation tools for measuring success, such as Orbit.
Nice to have qualifications:
  • Experience in contributing to big data open-source projects.
  • Experience in automating social media posting, and other processes workloads.
  • Understanding of developers’ persona.
